Rise and Fall Time
     Rise time of a periodic wave is defined as the time interval that it takes a wave to go from its 10% total amplitude to its 90% total amplitude. Fall time of a periodic wave is defined as the time interval that it takes a wave to go from its 90% total amplitude to its 10% total amplitude.

     The front side (left in photo below) is referred to as the leading edge of the wave and the back side (right in the photo below) is referred to as the trailing edge of the wave.
